On 29 January 2025, the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, represented by its MD4 students, the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, and the Community
Engagement Office, successfully organized a cardiovascular diseases & Hypertension Awareness Campaign in Suhar Public Park.<\/p>\n
The event aimed to raise awareness about the prevention, management, and risk factors associated with cardiovascular diseases and hypertension, fostering a better understanding of these health concerns among the local community. The campaign featured a variety of engaging and educational activities, including interactive awareness booths where attendees had the opportunity to learn about cardiovascular health through informative displays, pamphlets, and direct interaction with medical students. Volunteers engaged visitors in meaningful discussions, addressing misconceptions about hypertension and cardiovascular diseases while emphasizing the importance of regular check-ups, healthy lifestyle choices, and early detection.<\/p>\n
Educational materials, such as brochures and other resources, were distributed to ensure participants could take valuable information home with them. A feedback system was in place to gather insights from attendees, ensuring that the campaign’s impact could be evaluated and future initiatives improved. The event was well-received by the community, with high participation and positive feedback from attendees.
