On 7 December 2024, the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, represented by its MD4 students, the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, and the Community Engagement Office, successfully organized an HIV Awareness Campaign at the Third Suhar Festival. <\/p>\n
The event aimed to raise awareness about the prevention, treatment, and stigma surrounding HIV, fostering a better understanding of the disease among the local community. The campaign featured a variety of engaging and educational activities, including interactive awareness booths where attendees had the opportunity to learn about HIV through informative displays, pamphlets, and direct interaction with medical students. Volunteers engaged visitors in meaningful discussions, addressing misconceptions about HIV and emphasizing the importance of regular testing and safe practices.
