In support of the
objective of Oman Vision 2040 "Inclusive Education, Life-long Learning,
and Scientific Research that Lead to a Knowledgeable Society and Competitive
National Talents", NU has evolved strategies to offer and support research
and innovation that contribute in the nation-building process. The NU research strategy aims to support
research themes which align with Oman Vision 2040 and other national strategies
to enhance the role of R&D in addressing current and emerging
challenges.
Once such strategy
enabler will be the NU research Day. NU
Research Day is envisaged to be an annual event that provides faculty and
students with an opportunity to showcase their research, integrative learning
projects, or applied practice experiences.
The event offers
an opportunity for NU student and staff researchers to share their work with
the community and will include contributions from the Colleges of Medicine,
Pharmacy and Engineering.
We believe that the research day would be an ideal platform to
discover research opportunities and to showcase the research conducted by NU students and faculty highlighting creative solutions and fresh thinking used to confront the world’s most pressing challenges and regional and national priorities.
