In a heartwarming display of commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship, the College of Engineering’s staff and students came together on 14 March 2024 for a momentous Tree Plantation Day. This initiative, held within the scenic confines of the college campus, aimed to bolster oxygen levels and foster a verdant environment conducive to the well-being of all.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event, which aimed to enhance the campus ecosystem, underscored trees’ vital role in purifying air, enriching soil health, and regulating humidity levels. Spearheaded by Prof. Ahmed Al Balushi, Dean of the College of Engineering, the endeavour echoed a resounding call to action for sustainable practices that resonated within the college and the wider community.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Today marks a pivotal moment in our collective journey towards a greener, brighter, more sustainable future,” Prof. Ahmed Al Balushi remarked. “Through collaborative efforts like these, we not only reaffirm our commitment to environmental conservation but also instil a sense of responsibility within our student body, who are the custodians of tomorrow.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Amidst an atmosphere of enthusiasm and camaraderie, participants zealously planted saplings, infusing the day with a spirit of renewal and vitality. The event served not only as a practical exercise in environmentalism but also as a platform for fostering bonds and igniting passions for conservation among students and faculty alike.<\/span><\/p>\n
