MSc International Operations and Supply Chain Management is now offered at National University of Science and Technology in academic affiliation with Glasgow Caledonian University (UK). This post graduate degree, awarded by GCU, provides the specialist knowledge and techniques to manage, improve and sustain the international operations and supply chain. Further, MSc in International Operations and Supply Chain Management has been designed in conjunction with two professional accreditation bodies (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply-CIPS, UK and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport-CILT, UK). A unique aspect of the programme is that students can achieve yellow belt accreditation as part of the course and featured by delivery input by the faculty of GCU and experts from Industries.
The MSc International Operations and Supply Chain Management aims to:
Develop a critical understanding of research techniques and methodologies and apply these to an independent research project;
The course provides skills and specialist knowledge for those who wish to take up managerial positions in Operations and Supply Chain Management. The graduates of this programme will find career opportunities as supply chain analyst, supply chain planning engineer, operation and logistics engineer, procurement and supply specialist, finance operation specialist in well-known manufacturing, transport and logistics companies in Oman and the region.
Aim: To produce graduates with the technological, and managerial skills with approaches necessary for addressing the ever-demanding challenges in the power & energy, oil & gas sectors towards sustainable economic and social development.
Program Educational Objectives (PEOs): The Program Educational Objectives are drafted through the input from potential employers, alumni, and industrial constitutes of the program. The graduates will achieve the following PEOs’ after graduation.
PEO1: The application of core electrical engineering knowledge to the design, and development of system-based solutions.
PEO2: An ability to enhance their analytical skills through case studies, and independent inquiry.
PEO3: An ability to demonstrate technical and leadership skills in the workplace in compliance with accountability and social responsibility.
PEO4: Continue to develop professionally and engage in lifelong learning to adapt with emerging technologies and conduct research in the chosen field of specialization.
