BSc. Medical Laboratory Sciences

Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) program is qualified academic and applied science education that is designed to help students to develop, perform, evaluate and correlate laboratory testing while assuring quality and accuracy. The MLS program also equips students with multi-level functions in the areas of analysis and critical thinking, communication skills, regulatory compliance, quality assurance and performance improvement. Moreover, MLS graduates will demonstrate ethical and moral attitudes that are necessary for gaining and maintaining the confidence of patients, professional associates, and the community.

The MLS program is composed of 134 credit hours of course work over four years, with the final two semesters being reserved for clinical practice courses. The program curriculum is based on major requirements that meet content requirements of International accreditation agencies.

The MLS program course content encompasses such disciplines as clinical chemistry, haematology, immunology, immunohematology, microbiology, urinalysis, molecular methods, laboratory management, and research methodology. Successful completion of all required MLS courses will result in a Bachelor Degree from the National University of Science and Technology.
