About this program (In Affiliation with Glasgow Caledonian University, UK)
(Degree Awarded by Glasgow Caledonian University, UK)
Maintenance management has grown and developed into a significant major strategic issue for ensuring the effective operation of plant and engineering systems in order to meet business objectives. The programme equips engineering graduates from a variety of disciplines with the knowledge and skills to allow them to become effective maintenance managers in a wide range of industries. Historically, maintenance has been associated with the cost of labour and spare parts. With the advent of modern technology, maintenance has now evolved from a non-issue to a more strategic concern in most organisations. However, other factors such as reliability and availability, downtime and product quality can be key factors when measuring maintenance effectiveness. In addition, the objectives must be attained in accordance with environmental and safety regulations. The programme provides suitably qualified or experienced engineers of all disciplines with, modern cost-effective maintenance management techniques for the efficient operation of all types of sophisticated, complex equipment.
Career Opportunities
This programme is designed to be beneficial to working professionals from industries and other public and private organisations as well as new graduates who are interested in pursuing careers in asset management and maintenance.
