About this program

The MSc in Asset and Maintenance Management provides graduates with the knowledge and competencies that are required by maintenance engineers and managers in oil and gas industries, petrochemical plants, refineries, power sectors, public and private infrastructures and other industries.

Key subjects in this program include facility management, maintenance strategies, machine condition monitoring, energy efficiency and reliability analysis.

Students enrolled in this program are required to successfully complete 45 credit hours to be awarded the MSc.

Career Opportunities

Postgraduate students will find opportunities as practicing engineers, managers and section heads in the middle level or higher level positions in industries and government run institutes, especially in the oil and gas sector.

Entry requirements

In addition to the general master’s entry requirements, the specific program requirements are as follows:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering including Mechanical, Process Operations and Maintenance, Mechatronics and Electrical program from an internationally recognised university
  • Candidates from other disciplines may be considered case by case basis if they have relevant work experience of no less than 3 years.
  • Proficiency in English language equivalent to IELTS band 6 or equivalent English Language test for the applicants who were not assessed and taught in English at Bachelor Degree level.
